Richard Clancy, M. Ac., Lic. Ac.

I began my study of Chinese medicine quite accidentally. In 1988 while a student at UMass Amherst I was introduced to Tom Tam by my childhood friend Paul Fraser. Paul had a miraculous recovery after a health crisis and insisted I meet the man responsible.  Impressed, I went on to study Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Tui Na with Tom. But most importantly meeting Tom was a philosophical experience that changed how I would forever look at the body and the nature of disease.

In 1994 Tom graciously offered to allow me to work in Chinatown doing Tui Na massage. I apprenticed to him, learned much of his system, and I continued to work and learn in Chinatown until 1998.

In 1995 we opened our first office in Norwell  (then called Integrative Physical Therapy),  and in 1998 we relocated to 6 Grove St in Norwell. I went on to attend the New England School of Acupuncture, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had the honor to meet and assist the many people that have come to our clinic through the years.
